Summer night in a parallel universe
Hot town, summer in the city…
Summer evening oozes in through the arched window five floors high; blue sky fading to pale on the horizon with hints of haze as the city noise blares up from the ground below. Cars trail by; horns, sirens, laughter. The city streets are full.
In the forest, the stag’s in his own territory. He sniffs the air, absorbing the scents. He’s waiting.
A champagne cork flies out of the open window. Giggling. Oh, how suggestive.
He slides into bed to sit behind her, scooping her up in his arms, nuzzling her neck and feeling her soft skin against his. His lips graze her neck and she shivers, writhing against him, feeling him jabbing her in the back with his intent to love her.
We don’t need anything or anyone…..
She half-opens her eyes while he kisses her neck, sees the summer-blue sky out of the window, white clouds scudding across it. Her eyes flicker shut again as his hands trail down her body; she turns in his arms to face him and holds his gaze in hers.
He sees the doe through the trees; her eyes large and innocent, glowing in the shade. Holding his head on one side to show off the magnificence of his antlers, he takes a step forward to scent her.
But at night it’s a different world…
Time slides away to a standstill in the city and they kiss, slowly, sharing a mouthful of champagne, enmeshing themselves together before he slips down her body to find the very centre of her, hands gripping him in passion as he releases her agony of waiting.
The rain’s come again, just briefly, tapping on the window, splashing in on the white curtain that flutters in the breeze. Gone again, as soon as it started.
Cool town, evening in the city….
He sighs, breath catching in his throat as her mouth worships him, still held in a moment of time he wants to keep as a crystal forever.
The doe’s at his side now; her eyes massive in the half-darkness, eyelashes beautiful against her slender face. Her tail twitches nervously but the stag feels her need, noses her gently in recognition of it. She lays her head against him in a moment of surrender.
Dusk descends gently over the city’s cacophony and they’re together; so together. Falling into each others’ eyes in that moment their bodies join; that point of ecstasy where souls touch and vulnerability is complete. More than lovers, lips caressing, searching, finding, trying to soothe their aching need for each other.
We’ll do it all, everything on our own…..
She on his lap, he kisses her neck as they plunder each others’ bodies for love, ecstasy, fulfilment. Sighing as their arms enfold each other, flooded with desire, searching for that moment of spiritual annihilation.
The stag makes his conquest; the doe is his, surrendered utterly to him as he possesses her body in the dark forest.
In the noisy city, car horns blare as he pushes her down on to the white bed, her hair fanning out into a fine halo around her. Their eyes lock, they clasp hands and he pins her down, driving his body into hers, desperate to fulfil his primal need to make her his, swelling inside her slippery depths for a final moment before her convulsing body tips his into that exquisite moment of orgasm, exploding into her.
Pulse hammering, he holds her tight, with only the sounds of breathing and quiet music in the room. Night has fallen; a clear sky has nestled around the glass towers.
The white curtain moves gently, stark against the midnight blue.
If I lay here, if I just lay here, would you lie with me and just forget the world?
The city’s life goes on below, noisy and incessant, but the two frozen in time lie in each others’ arms, sharing a kiss; soft, peaceful, absorbed. In each others’ eyes, there is a universe they know and understand.
The stag pants; his body spent and steaming, his seed deep in his beautiful doe. She is his; her eyes and her body know it. She noses him in farewell and disappears amongst the trees.
Night floats through the city window and she leaves with it, flitting into the crowd like the doe into the forest.
Both gone for now, but both equally bound to return. Love’s like that.
